Children with autism have great difficulty in communicating and interacting with others and, this in turn, interferes with relationship development. Due to their different abilities, children with autism often become the focus of bullies and other hurtful acts. Through The Branch Solution, Treivor endeavors to support education and awareness about autism as well as assist in building positive environments within the schools for children with autism. One of many organizations which has taken the lead in autism awareness, education, and support within the school and the community, is the Autism Society of Connecticut (ASCONN). ASCONN provides services for students, parents, school and community organizations to create productive and safe environments for children with autism.
